Associate Professor Profesor Dr. Nurcan Tunçbağ, TÜBA-GEBİP Member, Elected as "GYA Member"
Associate Professor Profesor Dr. Nurcan Tunçbağ, TÜBA-GEBİP member and Middle East Technical University (METU) Informatics Institute Health Department Faculty member was selected as a Global Young Academy (GYA) member as a result of an evaluation among many highly qualified scientists.
She continues her studies in computational biology and bioinformatics. Dr. Tunçbağ also contributes to studies on diseases such as cancer by making computer models of complex biological systems. These models show how the interaction networks of genomes and proteins in diseases change within the cell.
International collaborations and projects of the Global Young Academy brings the problems and solution suggestions of young scientists from all over the world and has 200 distinguished science leaders from more than 70 countries. The Global Yung Academy is open to all researchers under the age of 40 from natural sciences, medicine, engineering, social sciences, literature and humanities. The Global Young Academy was founded in February 2010 with the support of the Inter Academy Panel.
