Research Grant Program for Turkology Studies
TÜBA has started the Turcology Research Grant Program. Within the scope of the topics announced within the scope of the program, working abroad, T.C. Turcologists who are not citizens will be provided with travel, accommodation and financial support for their research in Türkiye . Turcologists, who are not Turkish citizen, working abroad will be provided with travel, accommodation and financial support for their research in Türkiye within the scope of the topics announced within the scope of the program.
The research topics for 2021 are determined as the life, works and effects of Yunus Emre, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Researchers who are accepted in this context will have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty members in the fields of Turkish Language, Literature and Social Sciences, who work on related research topics at state and foundation/waqf universities that have signed protocols with TÜBA.
Researchers who are selected for the grant will be given a monthly scholarship of $750 for 3-months by TÜBA and a round-trip flight ticket will be provided. If the study of the researcher is not completed in 3 months, the scholarship can be extended for another 3 months upon the request of the scholarship holder, the consent of the advisor and the host university, and the decision of the Academy Council. Stakeholder universities will provide the selected scholarship holders with accommodation for 3 months during their research in Türkiye and will assign faculty members who will conduct consultancy/joint work on a voluntary basis.

2021-2022 Research Grant Program Application Conditions
The research topics for this call period are determined as the life, works and effects of Yunus Emre, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
The deadline for the scholarship application is 6 December 2021.
1. Researchers who meet the following conditions can apply to the program:
a. Turcologists who are not Turkish citizens and work abroad,
b. Proving documents that show working abroad,
c. Having a Ph.D. degree
d. Studying on the life, works and effects of Yunus Emre, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and Mehmet Akif Ersoy
2. Application is made online by filling the TÜBA-TADP Application Form.
3. The application should be conducted by the candidate.
4. If the researcher is entitled to receive the grant, it is obligatory to submit the following documents to TÜBA.
a. Passport copy,
b. Documentation of working abroad,
c. Photocopy of Ph.D. diploma,
d. One colored photograph
