Within the scope of TÜBA's mission of encouraging and appreciating scientists; a total of four scientists were awarded in three categories: Social Sciences and Humanities, Health and Life Sciences and Basic and Engineering Sciences for the 2024 "TÜBA International Academy Awards", which is established and open to all scientists in the world.

International TÜBA Academy Awards by the TÜBA Academy Council as a result of the opinions of domestic and foreign referees and the evaluation of the field committees;

In the category of Basic and Engineering Sciences

2024 TÜBA Academy Prizes was awarded to Prof. Dr. Zhichuan Jason Xu, Faculty Member of Nanyang Technological University for his original, pioneering and groundbreaking research in basic and engineering sciences due to inventions that have strong and widespread worldwide impact on electrochemistry of materials and electrocatalysis for renewable energy applications.

In the category of Social Sciences and Humanities

2024 TÜBA Academy Prizes was awarded to Prof. Dr. Istvan Vasary, a faculty member of Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, for his contributions to the study of the  Golden Horde Khanate and its successor states and the pre-Ottoman Turks of Cumans, Tatars and Kipchaks in Eastern Europe.

In the category of Social Sciences and Humanities

2024 TÜBA Academy Prizes was awarded to Prof. Dr. Roland Ralph Redfern Smith of Bilkent University of Ankara, for his contributions to the study of the Hellenistic sculpture and Roman and Late Antique Anatolia, especially the city of Aphrodisias.

In the category of Health and Life Sciences

2024 TÜBA Academy Award was granted to Prof. Dr. İbrahim Celalettin Haznedaroğlu, a faculty member at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, for his scientific contributions, including the first-ever identification of the Local Bone Marrow Renin-Angiotensin System, the development of Ankaferd Hemostat, which has become a revolutionary drug in the literature by providing hemostasis through red blood cells, and his extensive research in the fields of hemostasis and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
