Women and Children on the Southern Front During the National Struggle

The National Struggle Period was the Turkish Nation’s refusal of living under captivity, and the process of making the incredible as one body which had organized under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The woman, man, elder, young and child, all of them as one body displayed an epic struggle. Both at the front lines where the hot conflicts took place and also behind the front, Turkish Women and children supported their men, and they had become the touchstone of success in this epic struggle. In order to better understand the period of the National Struggle, the unprecedented contributions of Turkish women and children have been tried to be revealed with a special focus on the Southern Front.
