Reactions From The Southern Marmara Region on the Resignation of the Cabinet of Ali Rıza Pasha

The most important politic development in Türkiye in the Mondros Armistice era is the national independence struggle. The movement led by Mustafa Kemal Pasha showed a great development in Anatolia despite all the obstacles of Prime Minister Damat Ferid Pasha and was also effective in Ferid Pasha's withdrawal from the administration. The new government was built by Ali Rıza Pasha. From the time when Ali Riza Pasha’s Government started on the duty, Ali Riza Pasha’s Government remaining between Anatolia and İstanbul and known by loyality to the Sultanate, faced to the pressures from Allied Powers during its-reign and resigned because of the invasion of Bozdag. Following to the resignation of Ali Riza Pasha’s Government, Turkish Nation started to send telegrams to Istanbul with a reflex turning the telegram officials surprised by making a great democrating attempt against national requests which will occur in Istanbul. In the telegrams the resignment of the government was criticized and the call for a national government was renewed.In this study, focused on period of National Struggle The Allies Power on the pressure applied to the Ottoman Empire, and the resulting occupation Ali Riza Pasha Government’s resignation and the future of the Cabinet should be a government responsive to national sensitivities. Also subject of study Damat Ferid Pasha come to power again in the direction of the Allies Power Representative to Istanbul to the press, the palace and the Meclis-i Mebusan (the Ottoman Parliament) is made of telegrams sent from Southern Marmara Region.
