Ankara Days of Hüseyin Rauf Orbay
In this study, Hüseyin Rauf Orbay, one of the leading figures of the National Struggle His activities in Ankara, his relations, his official duties, and the politics he pursued in the Parliament will be addressed. While writing the work, the documents belonging to the Naval Museum Command Naval History Archive, the Ottoman and Republican Archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Archives of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Defense Department of Archives and Military History were examined. Rauf Bey's memoirs written by Feridun Kandemir, one of the most important journalists of the period, Cemal Kutay's biographical work prepared with some of the documents left by Rauf Bey after his death, the Minutes of the Assembly-i Mebûsan and the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and the Minutes of the Secret Sessions were utilized. Periodicals of the relevant period, historical witnesses of the period, the memoirs of personalities, and various research-study works were also utilized. The work covers Rauf Bey's Sivas Deputy, Deputy of Nafıa, the Second Presidency of the Parliament, the Presidency of the Executive Board of Deputies, and the Turkish delegation to Lausanne during the Lausanne peace negotiations and the Parliament when it provided the coordination and communication between the Parliament and the Assembly.
