Call for Papers for the Symposium on Science Diplomacy for Sustainable Development
The Symposium on Science Diplomacy for Sustainable Development, organized by TÜBA in collaboration with AASSA, will bring together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from around the world in Ankara on June 28-29, 2024.
Detailing the importance of sustainable development, the symposium aims to emphasize the complementary role of science in overcoming urgent issues such as pandemics, migration, and pollution, as well as in overcoming political divisions through strengthened scientific collaboration.
Highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary and international networks in addressing challenges, the symposium is programmed to promote knowledge and resource exchange among AASSA countries and beyond, enhancing the role of science and technology in national innovation systems, and paving the way for collective progress and sustainable solutions.
The symposium will provide policymakers with a broad framework, with participation from diplomats, representatives of international organizations and NGOs, scientists and researchers, members of scientific academies and communities, and industry leaders.
