Great Honor for TÜBA Working Group Member Prof. Ercişli
The Russian Academy of Sciences, affiliated to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, decided to award Prof. Sezai Ercişli, a member of the Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Change Working Group of the TÜBA and a faculty member of Atatürk University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, with the Irakly Sinyagin Medal for 2024.
The Irakly Sinyagin Medal, which is awarded every year to scientists who have carried out important studies that promote international relations in agricultural sciences, was awarded to Prof. Sezai Ercişli for his contributions to world agricultural science, his international success in science and his effectiveness in international relations. Prof. Ercişli, who was deemed worthy of the award with the unanimous decision of the Academy members, expressed his satisfaction for being deemed worthy of this award, which was presented to him due to the wide-ranging impact of his research and the importance he attaches to scientific collaborations. Prof. Ercişli said, “I think that the award will be instrumental in making his contributions to agricultural sciences more visible and strengthening collaborations in the international arena. The research infrastructure of Atatürk University, TÜBA and my colleagues have made significant contributions to my work. I would like to thank them all.”
